“Upuan” by Ben&Ben gave us the first look into their second studio album following 2019’s “Limisawa Street” and it did not fail us. This song gave us all the vibes from when we were developing our first crush on our elementary school seatmate. The lyrics of the song depicted how our strong the feeling of innocent puppy love is, by showing how the main character is not able to focus on anything else but the person seated beside them and whether there is a hope of getting together. It was a perfect translation of feelings to music, with having the instruments having a steady but playful beat which unlocks our first memory of that emotion of being uneasy but excited for your first venture into what love is.

With the music video being released last August 29th staring Belle Mariano and Donny Pangilinan, the latest most talked about loveteam in the Philippines, it had made the song better. Not only was it able to aid to express the song but remind us of how it felt to be at that stage of life.

Upuan definitely gave out nostalgic memories, that allowed us to ponder on how to make love simple again.
